Decent water resistance. Got this size to go over insulating layers, and they should fit fine. Needs shock cords for adjustment in the waist and hood. The hood is huge, I can wrap it completely over my whole head with material to spare. The wind just blows the hood off with no way to keep it tight. If it was cheaper it would be better rated, but still dinged for no adjustability.
