Headline to review pretty much sums up the cage. I have been using it for several years now on my daily commute bike on the downtube inside the frame triangle. It ha# held up well to heat and cold, down to 10F without getting brittle or stretching out of shape. Keeps springing back to hold large water bottles (I’m partial to the Polar brand US made models, although Giro once made what I consider the best bottle that could be disassembled into several parts, but I digress).Installation is easy, of course. Only minor negative is that it has a lot of nooks and crannies to it, which make it hold onto debris and dirt a bit more than other cages. Otherwise, highly recommended. The Zefal Spring Cage fully meets my expectations and needs. I bought the cage to hold water bottles when I take my 6yo son to ride bikes. We ride on smooth road and don't face any significant bumps but I wanted a cage that would hold a standard water bottle reasonable well. While the Zefal cage will fit my needs perfectly, I'm not sure it will work if you're mountain biking down a steep, bumpy incline. May depend on how well your water bottle fits.My 4 star review is for a very good, but not amazing bottle cage. I would expect a 5 star cage to cost much more. The Zefal cage is a deal.It works.I have had a pair of these on my bike for four years now and they are great. I do a lot of riding and they have maintained their shape, appearance and ability to hold water bottles very securely through the years. I purchased this set as a gift for a riding friend who was always having problems with his bottles falling out of the metal bottle holders while riding. Since we put them on his bike he has not lost a bottle. I like to drink cold beverages when I ride. We live in an area that is warm/hot most of the time and even on the hottest (110) days riding with a double lined metal bottle in the holder I have had no problems with it.I've bought these for every bicycle in our household. They are economical, lightweight, easy to install and the hold bottles nice and tight without being hard to use while in motion. This cage holds my bottles securely, but also releases them extremely smoothly and easily when I pull the bottle out. I've been using it for a month and it feels like the perfect balance between those two things, which are the most important functions of a bottle cage. I've used a few different sizes of CamelBak Podium bottles with it as well as a Polar Bottle (24oz).I've tried basic aluminium cages, the adjustable plastic/metal Topeak cage, and this one. They're all good, but this one has impressed me the most. The design is very simple, but it just works. It's also very light, which is a nice bonus.Mounted this bottle cage on my tikit in an upright position, and it served my needs perfectly. I sought a bottle cage that seemed to have a little bit of flexibility in the hold, and this product was that. I could fit a variety of bottles in this cage (so far, a disposable 330ml mineral water bottle and a sports bottle) and the bottles always stayed put.Of course, if this was mounted horizontally, it might be a little loose for certain bottles; but sport bottles (those with a little groove near the top of the bottle) would be supported by this cage perfectly. And being plastic, it's light :)I've been using these for many years on my mountain, hybrid, road bikes. What sets these apart is that it allows you to use bottles of of many different shapes and sizes. I use Polar water bottles, Thermos and Coleman insulated containers and they lock in snug without issue. Bumps, jolts and bounces do not dislodge the bottles. I highly recommend these cages for the most versatility.Muy bueno ?I purchased this because I wanted a bottle cage that lent itself to being cable tied to a bike frame which I'm only using for a month of two. On the bike there were no mounting points for a cage and I wasn't prepared to drill in some new ones for a bike I'm only planning to use for a short time.Look at the design of this. There are flat sections along the spine where cable ties can be looped around. Three black cable ties, on a black bottle cage, on a black bike frame made this look pretty uniform and less Heath Robinson. I can add a picture at a later date, but I'm lazy and my bike is locked in my garage with the alarm on and I think my keys and remote control are still in my overnight bag and honestly I'm kinda comfy here on my laptop and you people really don't deserve me.Great bottle cage - lightweight and flexible, meaning it's easy to place and remove a water bottle, but more importantly it keeps the weight down where it's important to do so.I've used a cheap Euro 2016 branded sports bottle and it fits perfectly, and can easily be used without stopping. As a side note, it didn't come with any mountain bolts - just in case you expect it to!I needed a bottle cage with a bit more flexibility but without compromising grip and bottle retention. I bought a new water botle which was a very tight fit in my existing cage, to the point of having to stop to prise it out for a spot of hydration! This cage fits the required brief perfectly - lightweight, easy to install, sturdy, and with the spring-like action from the two arms, gives a combination of easy use but firm, safe grip. Perfect!Cheap and cheerful, probably fits most bottles better than the one I use. (Pic attached)It takes 2 mins to attach in the standard way you would. Can't complain at the price - but I have added some rather fetching cable ties, as a furious attempt to hit 45kph led to my old "bobble" water bottle flying out somewhere never to be seen again. I am thinking of a better way to modify it so it looks a bit less MacGuyver. If you have a more suitably shaped and sized bottle, you wont have this issue!
